About SS-31 (Elamipretide)
SS-31, also called elamipretide and MTP-131, is the synthetic tetrapeptide D-Arg-Dmt-Lys-Phe-NH2. Researchers search for it under all three names.
Its first residue is D-arginine, and Dmt is the non-standard amino acid 2′,6′-dimethyltyrosine. The reference values are molecular formula C32H49N9O5, molecular weight 639.8 g/mol and CAS 736992-21-5.
